Plasma, a gas-like substance, is sealed between two glass plates. Plasma conducts electricity carrying a charge which lights up phosphors within tiny individual chambers. Triads of red, green and blue chambers form a pixel. A flat screen TV is made up of over one million pixels. Advanced electronics control the individual chambers to produce over 16 million colors. The combined pixels form a very high resolution picture which is viewable from any angle in the room and under any lighting conditions.
